Memorial Committee

The Town of Esopus will be the latest place to honor the memory of Sojourner Truth. Construction is scheduled to end by Fall 2009. A committee was appointed by the Esopus Town Board to advise on a statue to be placed in this park. The Monument committee has affiliated with the Ulster County Community Foundation, a certified 501(c)3 organization. Tax deductible contributions towards a bronze statue can be made payable to: "Sojourner Truth Memorial Fund" and mailed to: Ulster County Community Foundation, PO Box 3046, Kingston, NY 12402-3046.
